A Little About Us
OC Community Cats is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 81-1273425) comprised of volunteers committed to managing the community cat population through a spay and neuter program, public education, and maintaining selected cat colonies. We work with the City of Anaheim Code Enforcement department to resolve resident complaints regarding community cats and we support local rescues & foster groups.
What We Do
Trap-Neuter-Return
TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is a proven way to manage the population of outdoor cat colonies. Our experienced trappers humanely trap cats and kittens, which are then taken to our vet for sterilization, vaccinations, flea treatment, and other medical care if needed.
Feeding
We provide food and water to over 350 cats in the North Orange County area on a daily basis. We follow proper feeding practices to prevent attracting wildlife and other nuisances. We also help colony caretakers feed and maintain their colonies.
Medical Care
Homeless cats are prone to traffic accidents, infections, cancer, injuries, and various diseases. We provide medical care for injured and sick community cats and kittens as needed.
Foster Care
We provide foster care for recooperating and orphaned cats and kittens. This can include giving medications, providing space to heal, bottle-feeding kittens, socializing, and transporting to and from the vet for follow-up visits.
Our Mission
OC Community Cats' mission is to raise awareness about the thousands of feral and stray cats living outdoors throughout Orange County. We offer solutions to prevent the number of homeless cats from increasing and to successfully manage existing colonies through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).
